Mr. Paul Jones Elliott, age 84, of West Jefferson died Tuesday morning, May 31, 2016 at Ashe Assisted Living. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 3PM at Boone Family Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 6-8pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Elliott was born in Ashe County on July 6, 1931 to the late Fieldon Millard and Agnes Jones Elliott. Paul was a beloved father, grandfather, and brother. He was a hardworking business man. In his earlier days he loved to hunt, fish, and travel. He was also preceded in death by two sisters; Ethelene Miller and Edith Elliott, and two brothers; Fred Elliott and Wayne Elliott. He is survived by one daughter; Linda Johnson and husband Tony of Jefferson, two grandchildren; Joshua William Paul Johnson and wife Kristy of Crumpler, and Micah Renee Griffith and husband Blake of Huntersville, three great-grandchildren; Grayson Lee Johnson, Caleb Michael Johnson, and Rachel Elizabeth Griffith, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
