Mrs. Lorene Grogan Sebastian, age 80, of West Jefferson passed away Monday morning, July 4, 2016 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 1:00pm at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Steve LeaShomb officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00-1:00pm on Thursday, July 7, 2016; two hours prior to the graveside service. Mrs. Sebastian was born in Ashe County on February 1, 1936 to the late Sidney and Dollie Faye Goodman Grogan. Lorene was a member at Midway Baptist Church. She retired from a furniture factory and she worked as a Door Greeter at Wal-Mart. She was a hard worker. She enjoyed reading and working word search puzzles. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Paul Sebastian. Mrs. Sebastian is survived by two sons, Charles Miller and wife, Debra, of Wilkesboro and Robert Dale Miller, of Pennsylvania; three sisters , Jean Taylor and husband, Mack, of West Jefferson, Dot Miller and husband, Bill, of West Jefferson and Judy Grogan, of Statesville; a brother, Kermit Grogan, of Illinois; granddaughter, Sylvia Dawn King, of Hudson; several nieces and nephews also survive.
