Mrs. Gwendolyn Louise Baker Hogg, better known as “Gwen”, age 75, of Millers Creek passed away on Wednesday night, July 6, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 4:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3-4pm; one hour prior to the memorial service. Mrs. Hogg was born in Wayne County on Tuesday, June 3, 1941 to the late George Ammie and Rosa Alice King Baker. She worked with her husband in a wholesale tile business. She enjoyed reading and was a wonderful cook. But most of all, she loved her family, especially the grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, of 51 years of marriage, Walter Ruffin Hogg, Sr.; three sons, Jody Hogg, of Clayton, NC, Jeff Hogg of Millers Creek, and Jason Hogg and wife, Michelle, of Clayton, NC; a sister, Alice Lavern Mater, of Benson, NC; six grandchildren, Katelyn Hogg, Haleigh Hogg, Brooke Hogg, Dylan Hogg, Hunter Hogg and Cooper Hogg; several nieces and nephews also survive.
