Mr. Kyle Dean Ball, age 70 of Jefferson passed away Tuesday morning, July 12, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 2:00pm at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Hart, Rev. Herb Parunak, Dr. Dennis Love, and Rev. Kurt Kissinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00pm on Saturday; two hours prior to the funeral service. Mr. Ball was born in Ashe County on Wednesday, September 12, 1945 to the late Carl Winfield and Mamie Alice Sheets Ball. He worked at Gate's Rubber Mfg. for 26 years. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and served as a Deacon for over 30 years. He served in the United States Air Force. Kyle always had a smile on his face and loved being with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Ball, Elsie Featherstone and Ilean Howell; three brothers, John Ball, Charles Ball and Ray Ball; his step mother, Lessie Ball. Mr. Ball is survived by his wife, Linda Bowers Ball; a brother, Joe Ball and wife, Betty, of West Jefferson; his mother-in-law, Ray Bowers of Jefferson; three brothers-in-law, Bill Bowers and wife, Carol of Matthews, NC, Phil Bowers and wife, Dianne, of Dobson, NC and Charlie Bowers and wife, Nancy, of Crumpler; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; two expected great, great niece or nephew also survive. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund, 891 Friendship Church Road, Jefferson, NC 28640.
