Mrs. Yvonne Hope Baker, better known as "Hope" age 88 of West Jefferson passed away Friday morning, July 22, 2016 at Margate Health and Rehab. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brandon Wrencher and Rev. J.D. Walton officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00-2:00pm; two hours prior to the memorial service. Mrs. Baker was a wonderful mother and friend. In her spare time, she would knit dishcloths and tie a bow around with a card that said "A bundle of Hope". That's what Hope was. She always was thoughtful to others and would put a smile on your face. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Baker and a brother, Warren Houck Mrs. Baker is survived by a son, Ronald (Ron) Vernon Baker, Jr., and wife, Peggy, of Cleveland, Ohio; a step-son, Richard Baker, of Jacksonville, FL; three sisters, Jean Greer and husband Kenneth, of West Jefferson, Shirley Spearin and husband, David, of Maryland and Virginia Lynch and husband, Charlie, of Maryland; five grandchildren, Julie Dunlap, Tony Baker, Hollie Acre, Ron Baker, III, and Christine Baker seven great-grandchildren, Ashley Baker, Allysa Baker, Anthony Baker, Cody Baker, Lola Baker, Madison Baker and Brandon Baker; several nieces and nephews also survive.
