Mrs. Virginia Ruth Robinson Lewis, better known as "Ruth" age 80, of Creston passed away Friday morning, July 22, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 1:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Herbert McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-1pm on Monday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Lewis was born in Washington County, Virginia on Friday, March 27, 1936 to the late James and Nannie Belle Cook Robinson. She was a homemaker. She was a loving sister and aunt; she will be missed by all. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Aaron Lewis and a sister, Mary Tribett. Mrs. Lewis survived by four sisters, Bertha Jean Gunter, of Creston, Alice Riggs and husband J.T., of Virginia, Bonnie Evans and husband, Jesse, of Lansing and Toots Boyd, of Virginia; three brothers, Joe Robinson and wife, Dot, of Tennessee, George Robinson and wife, Imogene, of Tennessee and Jim Robinson and wife, Phyllis, of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews also survive.
