Mrs. Eloise Wolfe Poe, better known as "Weezie" age 72, of Jefferson passed Tuesday morning, August 2, 2016 at Margate Health & Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Douglas Callahan, Rev. James Perkins, Rev. Brenda Faust, Rev. William Greer, Rev. Dave Sexton and Rev. Russell Sheets officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00pm on Saturday; two hours prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Poe was born in Ashe County on Sunday, April 2, 1944 to the late Winfred and Rosa Lee Hamilton Wolfe. Eloise was a member of Cox's Grove Baptist Church. She worked at United Chemi-Con after retirement she worked as a Transportation Officer for the Ashe County Sheriff's Department. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; she will be missed by all. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Shelby Wolfe; three brothers, Robert Dane Wolfe, Ray Hamilton and Tommy Wolfe; two grandchildren, Roderick Phillips and Rayon Phillips. Mrs. Poe is survived by two daughters, Melinda Poe, of Charlotte, NC and Lisa Bryan, of Sparta, NC; a son, Craig Poe and wife, Onnie, of Augusta, GA; a sister, Christine Wolfe, of Jefferson; two brothers, Winfred Wolfe, Jr., of Jefferson and Roy Clay Wolfe, of Greensboro; seven grandchildren, Rachelle Bryan, Jessica De'Brue and husband, O'Bryant, Jordan Poe, Autumn Poe, Craig Poe, Jr (C.J), Brayden Poe and Faith Wolfe; two great-grandchildren O'Bryant De'Brue, Jr. and Journei De'Brue; two step grandchildren, Jessica Mays and Morgan Mays Monroe; several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers will be appreciated! The family will be meeting at the home place at 347 Ashe Park Road in Jefferson.
