Mr. Bobby Wayne Lambert, age 66, of West Jefferson, passed away Monday night, October 3, 2016 at NC Baptist Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 1:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Russell Hart, Rev. Doug Halsey and Rev. Cory Halsey officiating. Burial will follow in the West Jefferson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Lambert was born in Ashe County on March 24, 1950 to the late William and Blanche Mullis Lambert. He worked a Lambert's Cabinet shop. He was a deacon at Calvary Baptist Church and attended Fletcher Memorial Baptist Church until he wasn't able to attend. He was a member for many years at West Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed deer hunting but most of all his grandchildren. He was a loving father and grandfather; he will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Mr. Lambert is survived by a daughter , Erika Lambert, of West Jefferson; a son, Matthew Lambert, of West Jefferson; two brothers, Jessie Lambert and Jimmy Lambert, both of West Jefferson; two sisters, Janie Lambert, of West Jefferson and Elizabeth Campbell, of Mouth of Wilson, VA; three grandsons; one granddaughter; several nieces and nephews also survive.
