Rev. Ronald Dean Toliver, age 59, of Creston, passed away Friday morning, October 28, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie McCoy and Rev. Guy Testerman officiating. Burial will follow in the Toliver Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00-2:00pm; one hour prior to the funeral service. Rev. Toliver was born in Oxford, PA on January 2, 1957 to the late Mason Eugene and Juanita Eileen Flannery Toliver. He was an owner/operator of a saw mill. He was the minister of Bethel Baptist Church. Ronald enjoyed hunting and fishing is his spare time. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather; he will be missed by all. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Christine Hartley and a step sister, Janice Martin Griffey. Rev. Toliver is survived by his wife, Deborah (Deb) Jardin Toliver; three daughters, Renee Weaver and husband, Brian, of West Jefferson, Rhonda Jean Massengill and husband, Herman, of Vilas and Rebecca Kim Toliver, of Ashe County; three sisters, Madeline Rhymer and husband, Eddie, of Mountain City, TN, Dorothy Bledsoe and husband, Bobby, of Todd and Barbara Miller, of Wilkesboro; two half-brothers, Kenny Martin of Virginia and Buddy Martin, of Pennsylvania; a step-sister, Linda Koontz, of Virginia; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
