Mrs. Barbara Jean Toliver Miller, age 65, of Millers Creek, formerly of Ashe County passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Wilkes Regional Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2017 at 2:00pm at Valley Home Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie McCoy officiating. Mrs. Miller was born in Ashe County on March 20, 1951 to the late Mason Eugene and Margaret Juanita Flannery Toliver. She worked in the health care system. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Christine Hartley; a brother, Ronald Dean Toliver and a half-sister, Janice Raffey. She is survived by two sons, Joey Boyle, of Charleston, West Virginia and Ricky Hilton, of Bristol, TN; two sisters, Madeline Rhymer, of Mountain City, TN and Dorothy Bledsoe, of Todd; two step-brothers, Kenny Martin, of Independence, VA and Buddy Martin, of Pennsylvania; a step-sister, Linda Koontz, of Tennessee; three grandchildren, Richard Lee Hilton, III, Tierra Marie Hilton and Matthew Hilton; a great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews also survive.
