Mrs. Evelyn Dare Dolinger Vannoy, age 66, of Jefferson passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 1:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Morris and Rev. Johnny Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in the West Jefferson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00pm on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Vannoy was born in Ashe County on June 22, 1950 to late Bynum Franklin and Dora Little Dolinger. She worked at Barr Insurance and Builder’s Mart in their accounting department. She enjoyed working in her flowers, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; she will be missed by all. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Elliott. Mrs. Vannoy is survived by: her husband, Eddie Vannoy; a daughter, Nikki Wright and husband, Steuart, of Wilkesboro; two sons, Shane Vannoy, of Jefferson and Brandon Vannoy and wife, Tracy, of Jefferson; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
