Our deepest and sincerest condolences to the family. Words alone can not ease the pain when grieving the loss of a love one. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". May God give you and your family comfort in your loving memories and in His promise that soon we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. May these words give you a new hope, with deepest sympathy and warmth of heart.

Dear Mary, Johnny, Lynne and family.
Know that I am thinking of you all in your loss and hoping that happy memories will bring you peace. Jo was a woman who loved good things and loved to share them. She and Mary used to come by the window at the pharmacy bringing pecan tarts, bags of yellow "tommy toes" bags of hand- cracked black walnuts and best of all. her beautiful smile.
The Boone family came to Ashe County in 1957 and must have discovered the treasure that was Jo Stringer soon after. The beauty salon was a friendly, warm place. As a child, I'd talk her ears off but never heard any bad language or malicious gossip there. I did hear how much she loved her family. She had pictures of her grandchildren on her mirror and loved to talk about them. She enjoyed Christmas in July when Johnny would set up his booth and make those good sandwiches. She looked forward to fishing trips and trips to see her good friend Doris.
I remember that Jo was kind and concerned for her long- time customers, especially the older ones. She always wanted to see that they got home safely. She was friends with the old and young and very young. She just cared about people!
Jo liked music. She was proud of her church choir and invited us to the Christmas program. Adam reminded me that she came with us to see the Vienna Choir Boys when he was small. Her enthusiasm made everything better.
Jo's garden was famous. She had two "pet" crows, Heckle and Jeckle. She once gave me a yellow tommy toe plant.
I will never forget Jo and the example she set of a life well lived. Love and peace to you all.

What great memories we all have of "Jo". We'll remember the fun times to and from the fish fry, and those delicious pecan tarts she always had made to share.

Dear family, Love and deepest sympathy to all of you. So many happy memories of Jo since I was very young. Seeing all my Jefferson cousins was the highlight of every family reunion! I'm so glad I was able to visit with her several times in the last few years. My Daddy used to say we had memories so we could have roses in December! I treasure my many memories of Jo. Love, Margaret Rose.

What a wonderful woman & friend.❤ I can't remember a time in my life when I didn't know Jo Stringer. My mama, Bertha Lou Boone, had her hair done by Jo every Friday morning from before I was born until Jo retired. I remember all the haircuts Jo gave me, how she was a part of all the important & small things in our lives-helping us be ready for friends' weddings, prom, special trips... I remember her 1st dollar taped to her mirror & the community jigsaw puzzles on the table that everyone helped place a piece or two in, yummy recipes & black walnuts. I remember laughter, tears and caring. I remember how proud she was of her children and how much she loved them. She will be greatly missed.
