Dorothy Dillard Greene age 76 of West Jefferson, NC passed away peacefully at Forest Ridge Assisted Living on March 25. Dorothy was born in Wilkesboro, NC on March 31, 1940 to the late Wiley Mack Dillard and Jessie Howell Dillard. She graduated from Ashe Central High School and attended Appalachian State University. She is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Kenneth Greene of West Jefferson, one daughter Kendra Perkins and husband Travis of Jefferson along with two grandchildren – John Fields and Annie Clare Perkins. She is also survived by two sisters – Evelyn Baker and Angie (Jim) Hartley of West Jefferson, two brothers Dale Dillard (Wanda) of Randleman, NC and Dean Dillard (Barbara) of Mocksville, NC. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. Dorothy was a lifetime member of Orion Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and tending to her flowers, but most of all she loved spoiling her grandchildren. Services are being conducted by Boone Family Funeral. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 27 at Boone Family Funeral from 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 28 at 2 p.m. at Boone Family Funeral.
