Mr. Edward C, Hash, better known as "Ed" age 73 of Jefferson passed away Tuesday night, May 2, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Casey officiating. Burial will follow in the Big Flatts Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 12-2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Hash was born in Ashe County on June 20, 1943 to the late Herbert and Lessie Blevins Hash. He enjoyed trout fishing and deer hunting. He also went to auctions and yard sales in search of unique treasures but most of all he loved going to church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and will be missed by all. He is preceded in death by a brother; Bob Hash, and two sisters; Betty Hurley and Geneva DeBoard. He is survived by his wife; JoAnn Jordan Hash, three sons; Chris Hash of Jefferson, Craig Hash and wife Wendi of Fleetwood, and Chad Hash of Jefferson, two brothers; Bill Hash and wife Rose of Grassy Creek, and Ernie Hash and wife Louise of Jefferson, three sisters; Bonnie Absher of Troutdale, VA, Barbara Hash and husband Lee of Troutdale, VA, and Audrey Johnson of Sparta, three grandchildren; Vicki Earp, Logan Hash, and Lessie Hash, best friend dog; Buddy, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
