Mrs. Naomi Trivette Day, age 76, of Piney Creek, formerly of the Claybank Community passed away Tuesday morning, May 9, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 2:00pm at Welcome Home Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Jones, Brother Ralph Smith and Rev. Billy Joe Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in the Day Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00pm on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Day was born in Watauga County on April 16, 1941 to the late Ezekiel Paul and Hattie Pearl South Trivette. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She worked at Sprague Electric and Jefferson Apparel. She was a loving mother and grandmother; she will be missed by all. She was also preceded by her husband, Harold Day; a great, great granddaughter, Ava Miller and a sister, Carol Patrick. Mrs. Day is survived by two sons, Jeff Day and wife, Dedra, of West Jefferson and Gary Day and wife, Patricia, of Piney Creek; two daughters, Sandra Day Richardson, of West Jefferson and Kathy Dillard and husband, Cliff, of West Jefferson; a brother, Barney Trivette and wife, Geslia, of Washington State; a sister, Rita Mullis and husband, Dale, of West Jefferson; twelve grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; seven great, great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
