Obituary of Polly Ann Caparolie
Mrs. Polly Ann Surber Caparolie, age 75, of Fleetwood passed away Sunday night, June 11, 2017 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 2:00pm at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. John Elledge and Rev. Lawrence Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends from 12:00-2:00pm on Thursday, June 15, 2017two hours prior to the funeral service.
Mrs. Caparolie was born in Ashe County on February 22, 1942 to the late Martin and Hazel Goodman Surber. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where she was well known for making banana pudding for the church functions. She worked in daycare's taking care of children. She loved helping out with VBS and spending time with the children. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and sharing it with her family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph (Joe) Robert Caparolie; a brother, Samuel Surber.
Mrs. Caparolie is survived by a son, Tony Caparolie, of Fleetwood; two daughters, Pam Dillard and husband, Benny, of Fleetwood and Kim Ray and husband, Frankie, of West Jefferson; a step-daughter, Robin Stultz, of Hickory; two sisters, Betty Dean, of Fleetwood and Becky Houck, of Fleetwood; a brother, David Surber, of Fleetwood; four grandchildren, Emily Calhoun and husband, Rob, of West Jefferson, Hannah Dillard, Katherine Dillard and Andrew Dillard, all of Fleetwood; a great-grandchild, Brynlee Calhoun; two step grandchildren, Taylor Mull and Dillon Beaver, both of Hickory; several nieces and nephew also survive.

The family will be meeting at the homeplace at 103 Grandpa's Farm Road in Fleetwood.
