Mrs. Connie Marie Mash McNeill age 90, of West Jefferson passed away Monday morning, June 12, 2017 at Watauga Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 1:30pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Sheets officiating. Burial will follow in the McNeill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 12:00-1:30pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. McNeill was born in Ashe County on February 17, 1927 to the late Vonley and Maida Severt Mash. She enjoyed working on the farm with cattle and gardening. She was also known for her wonderful rhubarb pie. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and will be missed by all. She was also preceded in death by three sisters; Maxie Severt, Myrtle Haynes, and Rae Miller, two brothers; Wade Mash and Fred Mash. Mrs. McNeill is survived by two sons; Dale McNeill and wife Kim of West Jefferson, and Vaughn McNeill and wife Lynn of West Jefferson, one daughter; Janet Bare and husband Benny of West Jefferson, three grandchildren; Miranda Wingler and Josh of West Jefferson, and Jamie Roark and Emily Blevins of West Jefferson and Nikki Bare of Raleigh; three great-grandchildren; Shyanne Roark, GiGi Roark, and Hunter Wingler, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
