Mrs. Louella Absher Jones, age 84, of Crumpler, died Wednesday afternoon, July 1, 2009 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at 2pm at Mt. Pleasant Chapel Church with Rev. Bobby Jones, Rev. Joey McClure, Rev. Rhonda Rash and Rev. Randall Greene officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown-Fowler Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00pm on Friday, July 3, 2009 at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Jones was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on Saturday, August 30, 1924 to the late Emsley and Vina Cook Absher. She worked 29 years at Troutman Industries in Sparta. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Chapel Church. She is survived by her husband, Elder Curtis Jones of home; a son, Robert Jones and wife, Hilbish, of Crumpler; two daughters, Mava Hodgson and husband, Don, of Crumpler and Viona Lewis and husband, David, of West Jefferson; eight grandchildren, Bobby Jones, Tammy Hurley, Jimmy Price, David Lewis, II, Cindy Roten, Jonathan Jones, Jason Lewis and Emily Lewis; a step grandchild, Belinda Hodgson; six great-grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
