Obituary of Janis Kate Elliott

~~Mrs. Janis Kate Elliott, age79 of Warrensville passed away Monday morning, July 10, 2017 at North Carolina Baptist Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 11AM at Boone Family Funeral Home with Elder Fred Richardson and Minister Danny Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Elliott Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Boone Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Elliott was born in Ashe County on June 8, 1938 to the late Glenn and Annie Eller Elliott. She enjoyed gardening, cooking for her family and friends, and traveling. She enjoyed her church where she joined at a very young age and a faithful member until death at Mount Zion Baptist Church.
Mrs. Elliott is preceded in death by her husband; Delmer Elliott, and three sisters; Eda Mae Staley, Vilea Shepherd, and Mary Nell Mahaffey.
She is survived by one daughter; Kathy Joines and husband Mike of Warrensville, three sisters; Betty Powers and husband Wayne of Lansing, Winona Poe of St. Cloud, FL, and Juanita Walton and husband Thomas of North Wilkesboro, several nieces and nephews also survive.
