Mr. Roy Gale Lambert, better known as Gale, age 63, of Lansing, died Friday morning, July 10, 2009 at North Carolina Baptist Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at 3pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Reeves Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Scottsville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00pm on Sunday, two hours prior to the funeral service. Mr. Lambert was born in Ashe County on Wednesday, February 6, 1946 to Mary Lee Lambert. He worked as a Truck Driver. He is survived by a son, Travis Gale Lambert and wife, Jackie, of Hillsville, Virginia; two daughters, Terry Ellison of Lansing and Teresa Gale Hunkapiller, of West Jefferson; his mother, Mary Lee Lambert of Jefferson; four brothers, Bruce Lambert and wife, Karen, of Crumpler, Anthony Lambert and wife, Debbie, of Crumpler, Richard Lambert and wife, Betty, of Crumpler and Joel Lambert of Jefferson; three sisters, Debbie Lambert of Crumpler, Judy Reeves and husband, Tony, of Wilkesboro and Joann Cole and husband, Tommy, of Crumpler; four grandchildren, Brittanie Shepherd, Ashley Hunkapiller, Katie Ellison and Malichi Lambert; several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers are accepted.
