Mr. James Peter Murray, age 81, of West Jefferson, passed away Sunday night, August 27, 2017 at Margate Health and Rehab. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Mr. Murray was born in Scotland on July 4, 1936 to David and Euphemia Murray. After serving in the Royal Navy, he came to the US and was the manager of a Washington, DC boat marina when he became a US citizen. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Roseann Ballard Murray; sister, Davine Fox; Kenneth Murray. Mr. Murray is survived by three brothers, David Murray of Canada, Brian Murray of Scotland and John Murray of New Zealand; three sisters, Faye Rennie of Scotland, Isobel Todd of Canada and Norma McNaughton of Scotland; his special friends, Stan and Marie Elliott, of West Jefferson and their sons, Cody, Curtis and Dawson Elliott.
