Mrs. Eda Mae Elliott Campbell Shatley, age 79, of Lansing, died Sunday morning, July 19, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at 12:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joey McClure, Rev. Fred Richardson & Minister Danny Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Staggs Creek Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00pm on Tuesday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Shatley was born in Ashe County on Tuesday, January 28, 1930 to the late Clarence Glen and Annie Clyde Eller Elliott. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Warren Campbell of Warrensville; five sisters, Betty Powers and husband, Wayne, of Lansing, Janice Elliott of Warrensville, Mary Nell Mahaffey of Lansing, Juanita Walton and husband, Howard, of Wilkesboro and Wynonna Poe and husband, Carl, of Glendale Springs; two grandchildren Chris Campbell of Lansing and Heather Hutchens and husband, Tim, of North Wilkesboro; two great-grandchildren, Patty Hutchens and Josh Hutchens; several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers are accepted.
