Larry was my next door neighbor in Cary, for several years. He was funny, kind and generous. He let me ride his horses and gave us a patio table when he moved that I still have. We kept in touch and he contacted from the hospital to say goodbye and that he had terminal lung cancer. I miss talking to him and hearing his wise words and sense of humour. Rest In Peace, Larry

It was a shock to me to hear that Larry had passed. I had called him a couple of times and had not heard from. Our relationship began as him being my customer and it developed to us being friends. I always enjoyed talking with him and we laughed and spoke about everything under the sun. Always left with the feeling after talking with him that he was a fine person- who enjoyed life, the mountains and his friends. Most of all though he enjoyed his family- especially grand-kids. Always wanting to show me a new photo. He will be missed by me and in passing will be dearly missed by his close friends and family. The celebration of life was very meaningful and it was evident that he was popular with the local folks as he was as I had the honor of experiencing with him. For all the family I wish them well as they continue. He has lived a life that was full of adventure, experiences, and made lots of friends. The man that I knew as Larry Vinson will always be in my heart and memory and one that I will cherish for my lifetime.

I am so sad to hear about Larry's passing. Through the Boy Scouts and the real estate industry, Larry and I worked together on many, many things. He was a true friend and mentor and largely responsible for me getting into the real estate industry in 1980. He was always there to give me advice on many items.
I also knew him when I was a member of the Occoneechee Council staff as a professional scouter. When he decide to move to the mountains, we had lunch and he told me about his decision and I was so excited for him. I remember meeting his children when they were very young at his house.
May God Bless you and keep you during this time of grief. My heart is so heavy in your loss.

Our deepest and sincerest condolences to the family. Words alone can not ease the pain when grieving the loss of a love one. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". May God give you and your family comfort in your loving memories and in His promise that soon we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. May these words give you a new hope, with deepest sympathy and warmth of heart.

Larry was my friend. We also worked on real estate investments in the 1990's and later. He was fair with everyone. He enjoyed living and laughing and helping others. We made many road trips together looking at properties which he thoroughly enjoyed. I will miss him. He loved those two daughters and spoke about them and their activities with a smile and a caring fondness. They were a big part of his thoughts.

i want wish to express my sincerest sympathies to Larry's family, he was a great asset to my chapter of FRIENDS of the Blue Ridge Parkway. He graciously volunteered and helped us any time we asked from cleaning Cumberland Knob, cleaning the campgrounds in Doughton Park, to shuttling hikers to the Caudill reunion. he became a friend instantly with everyone and we will miss him. Our prayers will be going up for you during this very hard time.
