Mr. Gary Allen Fisher, age 62, of Lenoir passed away Monday night, October 30, 2017 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 3:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Fisher was born in Ashe County to the late Lindy Merlin Fisher and to Jacqueline Bennett Fisher. Gary served in the United States Navy. He sold produce at Pennington's Produce. He enjoyed trout fishing, deer hunting and motocross bikes. He also was a coin collector. He is survived by his mother, Jackie Fisher, of Lansing; a brother, Jerry Fisher and wife, Janette, of Laurel Springs; four sisters, Donna Fayko and husband, Rich, of Davidson, NC, Pat Fisher, of West Jefferson, Brenda Fisher, of Lansing and Michelle Hanson and husband, Alan, of West Jefferson; several nieces and nephews also survive.
