Mrs. Hester Jane Turner Jones, age 77, of Conover, formally of Ashe County, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Warner Eller officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive from 1:00-2:00pm on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Jones was born in Ashe County on July 4, 1940 to the late Howard and Hattie Riley Turner. She attended Tri-City Baptist Church in Conover. She loved her three cats; Ginger, Sunshine, and Bo. She also enjoyed her flowers. She was a loving wife and will be missed by all. She was also preceded in death by two brothers; Herman Turner and Herbert Tuner, and one sister; Hopal Turner. Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband of 60 years, Teddy Jones; two sisters, Helen Richardson and husband Buck of Clifton, and Hollie Blevins and husband Ted of Alexander, VA; three brothers, Halbert Tuner and wife Patricia of Newton, Hurley Turner of Clifton, and Rick Richardson and wife Rita of Warrensville, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
