Obituary of John Hiram Yearick

Mr. John Hiram Yearick, better known as "Johnny" age 55 of Lansing, the Helton Creek Community, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 morning at Ashe Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 1PM at Boone Family Funeral Home with Speaker Kermit Wilcox and Rev. Nina Weaver-Wynn officiating. Burial will follow in the Haw Orchard Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11-1pm at Boone Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Yearick was born in Ashe County on November 27, 1962 to Richard and Castine Wiles Yearick. In his earlier days Johnny played little league baseball and loved riding his bike and motorcycle as well as hunting and fishing He enjoyed helping his father herd cattle and working in the Chicken houses and hay fields He enjoyed TV shows such as: M.A.S.H, Gun Smoke, Gilligan's Island, Hogan's Heroes, and Scooby Doo. He appreciated visitors and entertaining friends with laughter

He was also preceded in death his father; Richard Franklin Yearick, Sr.

Mr. Yearick is survived by his mother; Castine Wiles Yearick, two brothers; Rick Yearick and wife Quita of Wilkesboro, and Sam Yearick and wife Tanya of Helton Creek, one sister; Etoyle Yearick of Helton Creek, two nieces, one great niece, and cousins also survive.
