Obituary of Dare Miller

Mrs. Dare Sheets Miller, age 78 of West Jefferson, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at her residence. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 2PM at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Sonny Thomas and Rev. Russell Sheets officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 1-2pm at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Miller was born in Wilkes County on September 12, 1939 to the late Henry Roosevelt and Minnie Parsons Sheets. She retired from Hanes after 32 years. She was a member at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ward Miller; her brothers, Otto, Joseph, Jimmie Lee, Carl, Fred, and Richard; and her sisters, Edna, Lizzie, and Clara.

She is survived by her niece and caregiver; Cynthia Rutherford and husband Gary of Fleetwood, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
