Mrs. Elisabeth Babatte Waechter better known as Liz age 97, of West Jefferson passed away Monday morning, January 15, 2018 at Forest Ridge Assisted living Center. Services will be private. Elisabeth was born in Germany on February 2, 1920. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fritz and a grandson, Bryan Waechter. Mrs. Waechter is survived by two sons, Fred Waechter (Dottie) of West Jefferson and Karl Waechter (Susan) of Raleigh; a granddaughter, Staci Marciano of New York; two grandsons, Eric Waechter of Tampa, FL and Darren Waechter (Heather) of Clayton, NC; three great grandsons, Anthony, Hunter and Matthew Waechter; two great-granddaughters, Nicole and Taylor Marciano also survive. The family would like to express their gratitude for the care and friendship of Inez Eldreth to our mother.
