Mrs. Sue Garland Johnson, age 68, of Grassy Creek, passed away Saturday morning, August 1, 2009 at her residence. Graveside service will be held Monday evening, August 3, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. at the Dixon Cemetery in Grassy Creek with Rev. Jim Thompson and Rev. Peter Parrish officiating. Mrs. Johnson was born in Unicoi County, TN on Tuesday, October 29, 1940 to the late Mrs. Mae Garland Fowler. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, James William Johnson, better known as "Jim"; two sons, Mike Johnson and wife Melanie of Sylva, Tommy Johnson and wife Jan of Grassy Creek; one daughter, Patricia Miller and husband Greg of Lansing; two grandchildren, Fran Walters and husband Nolan of Fleetwood, Sean Miller of Winston-Salem; two great-grandchildren, Riley Sue Walters and Ellie Kate Walters both of Fleetwood. Flowers will be appreciated.
