Mrs. Annie Victoria Dawkins Carr, age 83, of West Jefferson passed away Thursday morning, February 8, 2018 at her home. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 1:00pm at the home place at 842 Mulatto Mountain Road in West Jefferson. Mrs. Carr was born in Gastonia, NC on June 18, 1934 to the late Leon and Edna Coffin Dawkins. She was a Homemaker. She was a member of Corner Stone Baptist Church. She was a loving mother; she will be missed by all. She is survived by five daughters, Vicki Melvin of Chester, VA, Angela Sword, of West Jefferson, Belinda Downs, of Thomaston, GA, Julia Runyan, of Panacea, FL and Deborah Lemnaru of West Jefferson; a son, Marc Carr of Boone; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; three great, great-grandchildren also survive.
