Mrs. Edra Miller Miller, age 92, of Lansing, passed away Sunday morning, August 2, 2009 at the Wilkes Senior Village. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 3pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bluferd Eldreth and Rev. Ronda Rash officiating. Burial will follow in the Miller Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 one hour prior to the funeral service at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Miller was born in Ashe County on Monday, February 26, 1917 to the late William M. and Elizabeth Roop Miller. She was a member at the White Oak Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Jones Miller of forty-five years; three brothers, Reggie, Lee and James Miller and by three sisters, Ada Miller, Mattie Eldreth and Blanche Hart. Mrs. Miller is survived by one son, Jack Miller and wife, Clara of Lansing; two daughters, June Hodges and husband, Buddy of West Jefferson, Libby Coldiron and husband, Kenneth of Elkin; one brother, Lester Miller of Lansing; three grandchildren, Penny Greer, Kim Settle, Rusty Miller; three great-grandchildren, Brittany and Ashley Miller, Kendra Settle; four step-great-grandchildren, David Settle, Beth Brennan, Stephen and Bradley Mikles; several nieces and nephews also survive.
