Mrs. Betty Lou Mock Mitchell, age 84, of Creston passed away Sunday afternoon, March 25, 2018 at Forest Ridge Assisted Living Center. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 2pm at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Russell Hart officiating. Mrs. Mitchell was born in Ashe County on December 7, 1933 to the late Edward and Ella Roten Mock. She attended Riverview Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Luther (Jim) Mitchell; a sister; Sue Cooper. She is survived by three brothers; Bruce Mock and wife Wanda of Warrensville, Jack Mock and wife Nell of West Jefferson, and Jess Mock and wife Helen of Creston, several nieces and nephews also survive.
