Obituary of James Steveson Lambert

Mr. Jimmy Lambert, age 80, of West Jefferson passed away Tuesday morning, April 3, 2018 at Margate Health and Rehab Center.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 1pm at Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Steve LeaShomb officiating. Burial will follow in the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:30-1pm at Midway Baptist Church.

Mr. Lambert was born in Ashe County on May 10, 1937 to the late Bill and Blanche Mullis Lambert. He served in the United States Army. He was a Gideon’s representative and speaker. He was a loving husband, father, and will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by three brothers; Bobby Lambert, Billy Lambert, and David Lambert, and a sister; Myrtle Lou Wagoner.

Mr. Lambert is survived by his wife; Madeline “Tiny” Lambert, one son; Gregory Lambert of West Jefferson, two sisters; Janie Lambert of West Jefferson, and Elizabeth Campbell and husband Perry of Virginia, one brother; Jessie Lambert of West Jefferson, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
