I was very sad to learn of Tom's death. He was a wonderful person and I am fortunate to have had the priviledge of meeting him. We 'partied' years ago when he lived in Ashe county. He was a fun loving, wonderful person and I extend my deepest sympathies to his daughters and family.

I had the pleasure of working with Tom for over 6 years in La Paz. Tom made everything more fun. He lived life to the fullest and helped to remind me not to take life too seriously. I will miss his company, his laugh and his great advice. Most will remember him for his good nature and love of life, I will also remember him for his wisdom. He was a very accomplished successful man and I am privileged to have known him. I send my thoughts and prayers to all of you. Carol Barber Terkhorn

Some of my happiest memories growing up included "Tommy". To say that he was always the life of the party is an understatement! If ever anyone truly enjoyed life, it was him. I treasure the time we had togehter at the Class of '64 reunion in 2005. He seemed to never change...always a big smile on his face...the grecarious laugh that was unique to him...always kidding around...and the boy (man) could dance! He was the first classmate to register for the 45th reunion coming up this October. He will be greatly missed....and always remembered with love.

I have many great memories of Tommy --- the summer of '68 when I lived with him (Nat Crouch, Mike Todd, Marvin "when I pay everyone pays" Miller and Greg Hoodlum) on Howard's Creek Road in Boone, the Canary Yellow Convertible 442 Olds with the built in record player (Tommy really loved that car), him playing Santa Claus in the J'ville Christmas parades which as I recall it were done at Thanksgiving - go figure, his Christmas tree lot in J'ville for all those years, running into him and Libby in god only knows where western NC in 1979 at a Nantucket, Charlie Daniels and Molly Hatchet gig, him calling me in the 1980's from a downtown Charlotte hotel inviting me to come join the party and his recent invitation to come on down and visit in El Mexico. We will miss all his warmth and love!
Please join me in a short prayer: May he rest in peace and may God Bless his very good soul, eternally! Amen

Tom, was one of my very best friends, he worked for me in Myrtle Beach from 1995 1to 1998, I moved to Cabo San Lucas and desperately needed
management help with my new
project, Tom agreed to help then drove 3500 miles from Myrtle Beach to Cabo. I'll miss him greatly, he loved his daughters and never met a stranger, a truly one of a kind on an unkind world!
