Obituary of Stephen Craig Wood

Mr. Stephen Craig Wood, better known as “Craig”, age 62, of Todd passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 3pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Josh Hamby officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00pm on Friday at Boone Family Funeral Home

Mr. Wood was born in Ashe County on October 18, 1955. Craig enjoyed listening to music and one of his favorite bands was the Beatles. He was a computer system genius, specifically Apple products. He loved sports and was a loyal NFL Denver Bronco fan.

He was also preceded in death by his father; W.R. Wood.

Mr. Wood is survived by his companion; Angela Greer, one son; Scott Wood of Laurinburg, NC, his mother; Carolyn Wood of West Jefferson, one sister; Angie Roark and husband Tim of West Jefferson, two nephews; Dustin McNeill and wife Paula, and Kendall McNeill and wife Mia, two great-nephews; Silas McNeill and Riley McNeill, one great niece; Brooklin Kahill, and two loyal friends; Chuck Miller and Drew Surber.
