Mr. Joseph Brooks Scharin, age 58, passed away in the mountains where he lived. He will surely be missed by loving friends, neighbors and family. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Joe leaves behind a sister, Carroll Scharin Binotto, her husband Dante Binotto, Jr; one nephew Dante Joseph Binotto, III and Dixie Dog. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Hippach Scharin and Georgiana Brooks Scharin. Joe graduated from Irvington High School in 1977. Then he joined the United States Air Force from 1978-1982 and graduated with a Honorable Discharge as an Aircraft Weapons Specialist. He also was a graduate of Appalachian State University with a BSBA-Real Estate from 1983-1989. Joe's family would like to thank their friends for all their support, love kindness and helping hands. His mountain views from where he sat was what he loved, we all know that. His mountain now lays with body and soul. He'll always be here, this we all know. We love you Joe and miss you so. We wish the Angels hadn't ask you to go. Friends, neighbors, family, your nephew and Dixie too, want to say we all love you. Joe was always Joe. God Bless!
