Miss. Belle McNeil, age 99, of West Jefferson passed away Friday morning, July 20, 2018 at Ashe Assisted Living. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Jones and Rev. Rick Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Calloway Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Miss. McNeil was born in Ashe County on November 2, 1918 to the late Kirby and Rebecca Ellen Faw McNeil. She was a member of North Beaver Baptist Church. She worked at Jefferson Apparel in quality control and also at Robert Drug Store. She enjoyed quilting in her spare time. She was also preceded in death by two sisters; Ola Greer and Edna Parsons; nine brothers, Wint McNeil, Quincey McNeil, Clate McNeil, Clyde McNeil, Oscar McNeil, Alton McNeil, Gene McNeil, Thomas McNeil and Iron McNeil. Miss McNeil is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
