Obituary of Barbara Sue Richardson

Mrs. Barbara Sue Howell Richardson, age 67, of Crumpler passed away Thursday evening, August 16, 2018 at her home.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 3:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Lloyd Day and Minister Fred Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 1:00-3:00pm; two hours prior to the funeral service.

Mrs. Richardson was born in Ashe County on October 10, 1950 to the late Wiley and Ola Pennington Howell. She enjoyed fellowshipping with her family and friends, and cooking and gardening. But most of all she enjoyed her granddaughters, Bailey and Carlee. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother; she will be missed by all.

She was also preceded in death by a brother; Joe Howell, and a number of sisters.

Mrs. Richardson is survived by her husband; Roger Richardson, one son; Travis Lee Richardson and wife Dawn of Lansing, one brother; John Howell and wife Nell of Crumpler, three sisters; Virginia Barton of Jefferson, Wanda Shore of West Jefferson, and Rosalee St. John of Crumpler, two twin granddaughters; Bailey Grace and Carlee Nicole Richardson, special friends; Winnie and Earl Taylor of West Jefferson, Louise Hash of Jefferson, and Brenda Blevins of Lansing, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family would like to express gratitude to the staff of Medi Home Hospice, Ashe Memorial Hospital, and Margate Health and Rehab for their loving care.
