Mr. Joshua Clay Dillard, age 19, of Jefferson, died Monday, August 24, 2009 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Orion Baptist Church by Rev. Michael D. Carter, Rev. Larry Powers and Rev. Mark Harless officiating. The body will lie in state on hour prior to services. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm on Thursday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Dillard was born in Ashe County on Sunday, December 17, 1989 to Robert Delane Dillard and Lena Main. He was a Carpenter. He is survived by a son, Hunter Clay Ryan Dillard of Todd; his mother, Lena Main, of Jefferson; his father, Robert Dillard of Jefferson; Paternal grandparents, Cliff & Doris Dillard, of Jefferson; his maternal grandmother, Ann Main of Shady Valley, TN; a sister, Jessica Nicole Dillard of Jefferson; a nephew, Ian Dale; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survives.
