Mrs. Faye Howell Caudill, age 93, of West Jefferson, passed away Saturday morning, August 18, 2018 at Margate Health and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 12:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Day officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00pm on Tuesday, August 21, 2018; one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Caudill was born in Ashe County on January 10, 1925 to the late Coy and Mammie Campbell Howell. She retired from a clerk at Miller's Jewelry. She was a member at Smethport United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking and caring for her family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry (Todd) Caudill; a brother, Dave Howell; four sisters, Iva Lee Holman, Stella Houck, Mabel Mabe and Lettie Gentry. Mrs. Caudill is survived by a son, Larry Caudill and wife, Deborah, of Ronda; two brothers, Henry Howell and wife, Shirley, of Kings, NC and Jack Howell and wife, Susan, of Kernersville, NC; two sisters, Lois Baldwin and husband, Darrell, of West Jefferson and Esta Goodman, of Boone; three grandchildren, Christopher Todd Caudill, of Winston-Salem, Dustin James Caudill and wife, Melody, of Winston-Salem and Melissa Margaret Dearborn, of Rock Hill, SC; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
