Obituary of Ronald Lawrence Clayton

Ronald Lawrence Clayton, age 55 of Charlotte, NC passed away Tuesday morning August 28, 2018 at University of Tennessee Medical Center, Knoxville, TN.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, September 1st at 2:00pm at Bald Mountain Baptist Church Fellowship Hall with Rev. John Elledege officiating. The family will be  receiving friends beginning one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Clayton was born in Ashe County on March 16, 1963 to the late Joseph F. and Dorothy Starnes Clayton. He attended Central Church in Charlotte and was a very devoted Christian. After graduating from Ashe Central High School, he attended Wilkes Community College where he received an Associates Degree in  Horticulture. He was a landscaper for many years and contunued to enjoy outdoor work after becoming a long haul truck driver for Schneider Trucking. He also enjoyed reading and biking.

Mr. Clayton was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Joseph Stephen Clayton.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Denise Belk Clayton of Charlotte, one son, Aaron Clatyon and three daughters, Bethany, Laura, and Hope Clayton, all of Charlotte; one brother David Clayton of Charlotte and three sisters, Beverly Clayton and Barbara Huddler, both of Fleetwood, and Janet Goodman of Todd.
