Obituary of Michael Allen Greer

Mr. Michael Allen Greer, age 63, of Todd passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at his home.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Rash officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodford Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1-2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Greer was born in Ashe County on September 28, 1954 to the late Howard Finley Greer and Lillian McGuire Greer. He retired from Lowe’s Building Supply. He enjoyed working with his cattle and on the farm, and also NASCAR and racing. Michael would go to Montana once a year to hunt elk. He graduated from Beaver Creek High School in 1973. He was a loving son, father, grandfather and brother; he will be missed by all.

Mr. Greer is survived by two daughters, Michelle Parsons and husband, Roger of Dover, DE and Adrian Greer of Boone; his mother, Lillian Greer, of Todd; two brothers, Raymond Greer and wife, Dena, of Statesville and Ricky Greer, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; four grandchildren, Devante Greer, of Boone, Chandler Mountain, of Florida, Haley Mountain, of Boone and Maia Parsons, of Dover, DE; several nieces and nephew also survive.
