Obituary of June Hash

Mrs. June Marsh Hash, age 85, of Jefferson, passed away Wednesday morning, October 3, 2018 at Margate Health and Rehab Center.

 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 3:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve LeaShomb and Rev. John Elledge officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

 

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm on Sunday; one hour prior to the funeral service.

 

Mrs. Hash was born in Ashe County on June 28, 1933 to the late Arthur and Venie Stuart Marsh. She retired from Hanes Plant in Jefferson. She was an active member of Fletcher Memorial Baptist Church before her sickness. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and playing cards but most of all she enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother; she will be missed by all.

 

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lee Hash; three brothers and two sisters.

 

Mrs. Hash is survived by her daughter; Phyllis Furches and husband Bob, of West Jefferson, two granddaughters; Tonya Lee and husband Sherman, of West Jefferson and Michelle Gibbs, of West Jefferson; six great-grandchildren; Matthew Lee, Ashton Craven and husband Keaton, Nathaniel Lee, Madison Lee, Dean Gibbs, and Berkley Gibbs; several nieces and nephews also survive.

 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Midway Baptist Church Building Fund, 1670 Mt. Jefferson Road, West Jefferson, NC 28694.
