Obituary of Vada Marie Milam

Vada Roark Milam, age 90 of West Jefferson, NC passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Margate Health and Rehab.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 11AM at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel and Gardens with Rev. Bluferd Eldreth officiating.

Mrs. Milam was born in Ashe County, NC on January 19, 1928 to Willet and Lucy Rash Roark.

Mrs. Milam was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Milam, four brothers; Howard, Burles, Gene, and Warner Roark and by two sisters; Myrtle and Edna Roark.

Mrs. Milam is survived by two daughters; Kathy Winebarger of Creston and Brenda Price and husband Tommy of West Jefferson. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Tiffany Price, Robbie Winebarger, Brittany Elliott, and Courtney Hash, and four great-grandchildren; Michael Dishman, Ian Dishman, Carson Winebarger, and Brooklyn Winebarger, also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Milam was a member of Three Top Baptist Church. She loved to read her bible, she dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She loved to work in her flowers as long as her health allowed her to do so. She will be greatly missed by all her family!
