Mrs. Mildred Virginia Pasley Anders, age 93, of Grassy Creek passed away Monday night, October 15, 2018 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 2:30pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Blevins, Rev. Guy Testerman and Rev. Dave Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 1:00-2:30pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Anders was born in Meadowview, Virginia on March 9, 1925 to the late Jeter Grover and Susie Pearl Miller Pasley. She was a member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, flowers, walking and living life. She was a loving mother and grandmother; she will be missed by all. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Francis Warren Anders; two brothers, Roy Elmer Pasley and Gilmer Pasley; a sister, Janet Pasley Baker. Mrs. Anders is survived by three daughters, Susan Lynn Halsey and husband, Ronald, of Grassy Creek, Robin Pruitt, of Grassy Creek and Kimberly Mulcabage, of Grassy Creek; a son, Terry Anders and wife, Melinda, of Grassy Creek; eight grandchildren, Autumn Lewis and husband, Allen, of West Jefferson, Raven Crews and husband, Tyler, of West Jefferson, Cindy Kurtz and husband, Kevin, of Fawn Grove, PA, Laura Halsey and husband, Peter Young, of Stewartstown, PA, Holly McClure, of Trade, TN, Ryan McClure, of Vilas, Morgan Anders, of Whitaker, PA and Taylor Anders, of Whitaker, PA; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
