Mrs. Shelia Ann Sheets Wheeler, age 73, of Laurel Springs passed away Sunday afternoon, October 21, 2018 at her home. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 3:00pm at Pine Fork Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Sheets Cemetery. Mrs. Wheeler was born in Ashe County on May 19, 1945 to the late Ralph Talmadge and Hattie Bare Sheets. She was owner and operator of Circle L Restaurant in Sparta. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, reading and traveling. She was a loving mother and sister; she will be missed by all. She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Julie Mash. Mrs. Wheeler is survived by a son, Gilbert Randall Mash, of Laurel Springs; two daughters, Lisa Sharpe and husband, Chris, of Salisbury and Celena Michelle Amburgey and husband, James, of Kannapolis; three sisters, Shirley Mabe and husband, E.J. of Laurel Springs, Linda Miller and husband, Billy, of Laurel Springs and Barbara Carter and husband, Freddie, of Cooleemee; three brothers, Gilbert Sheets and wife, Peggy, of Roaring River, James Sheets and wife, Pam, of Millers Creek and Larry Sheets of Laurel Springs; eight grandchildren, Ryan Mash, Ethan Mash, Makayla Mash, Autumn Atwood, Martina Atwood, Aaron Sharpe, Ralph-Connor Amburgey and Caitlin Amburgey; two great-grandchildren, Luna Aparicio and Emmett Mash; several nieces and nephews also survive.
