Obituary of Richard Irvin Legros
Mr. Richard Irvin Legros, better known as "Dick" age 87, of West Jefferson passed away Wednesday night, October 31, 2018 at NC Baptist Hospital.
A private memorial service will be held.
Mr. Legros was born in Alliance, Ohio on August 8, 1931 to the late Joseph H. and Lucille Springer Legros. He was a Precision Sheet Metalist. He retired from Pratt Whitney Air Craft after working 31 years. He was a member and a deacon at Buffalo Baptist Church. He was the oldest of five and was deeply admired by his siblings. In his spare time he enjoyed fly fishing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother; he will be missed by all.
He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Ann Legros; a brother, David Legros, of Alliance, Ohio; two step-grandchildren.
Mr. Legros is survived by: his wife, Juanita Rash Legros; two daughters , Barbara Jones and husband, Bill, of Royal Palm, Florida and Cynthia Springer and husband, Robert, of Atlantis, Florida; a son, James Legros and wife, Kay, of West Jefferson; three step daughters, Connie Ginn and husband, Doug, of Statesville, Brenda Roland, of Franklin, NC and Bonnie McGuire, of Jupiter, Florida; a step son, Ron Roland and wife, Kim, of Palm City, Florida; a brother, Larry Legros and companion, Judy Corley, of Deerfield, Ohio; two sisters, Susanne Gieseman and husband, Gary, of Louisville, Ohio and Loduska (Duckie) Heastand, of Louisville, Ohio; seven grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; nine step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Buffalo Baptist Church, c/o Kim Harless, 218 Beaver Drive, West Jefferson, NC 28694.
