Obituary of Rose Mary Phipps

Mrs. Rose Mary Eldreth Phipps, age 82, of Crumpler passed away Sunday morning, November 4, 2018 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 11am at Healing Springs Baptist Church with Rev. David Blackburn and Rev. Kevin Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Healing Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 5:30-7:30pm at Boone Family Funeral Home.

Mrs. Phipps was born in Nottingham, PA on December 22, 1935 to the late John and Gladys Eldreth. She joined in 1957 at Healing Springs Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. She was a great cook and seamstress.

She is survived by her husband; Alonzo Phipps, two daughters; Lisa Phipps Barker of Forrest, VA and Kristi Fulk of Alpharetta, GA, one brother; Wesley Eldreth of Jefferson, six sisters; Zora Hartman of West Jefferson, Joan Walters of Jefferson, Arbadella Testerman of Lansing, Angie Thompson of Jefferson, Inez Eldreth of Jefferson, and Tommie Teaster of Crumpler, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
