Mr. Ronald Scott Essenberg, better known as "Ron" age 58, of West Jefferson passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at his home. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Essenberg was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 10, 1960 to the late Jackie Allen and Marilyn Winkles Essenberg. He served in the United States Marine Corp. He worked for Drug Enforcement Administration. Mr. Essenberg is survived by three brothers, Dan Essenberg and wife, Beth, of Brevard, NC, Jon Essenberg and wife, Jodi, of Wilmington, NC and Don Essenberg and wife Caryl, of Summerfield, NC; several nieces and nephews, Ashley Cison and husband, Chad of Brevard, NC. Casey Essenberg and wife, Nicole, of Brevard, NC, Corey Essenberg, of Orange County, CA, Jack Essenberg, Jakob Essenberg and Jonah Essenberg, all of Wilmington, NC, Jason Essenberg and wife, Sarah, of Hickory and Kriston Bodlin and husband, Josh, of Kernersville also survive.
