Mr. Billie Carl Eller, age 91, of Creston passed away Tuesday morning, January 1, 2019 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Hurley officiating. Burial will be private. Mr. Eller was born in Ashe County on July 26, 1927 to the late William Guy and Bessie Little Eller. He worked as a timber cutter and farmer. He enjoyed riding horses and the Blue Ridge Wagon Train. He was a loving husband, father, and will be missed by all. He is preceded in death by a son; George Eller, two sisters; Ruth Farmer and Francis Goodman, and two brothers; Kelly Eller and Bob Eller. Mr. Eller is survived by his wife; Dorothy Carlson Eller, one daughter; Linda Osborne and husband Gary of Creston, two sons; Billy Eller of Creston, and Charlie Eller and wife Trisha of Creston, one brother; Jay Eller and wife Shirley of Statesville; a daughter-in-law, Rebecca (Jeffery) Eller, of Mouth of Wilson, VA; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two step grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will be meeting at the homeplace, 14877 NC Hwy 88 West, Creston, NC 28615.
